You've reached a link that is no longer working. As far as I can tell, this link was taken down by the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Fusion Energy sometime in late 2004 or early 2005. Prior to that time, the link you clicked on led to this page.

This derisive dismissal of cold fusion research was posted on the U.S. Department of Energy's website for the entire Clinton administration.

More recently, the Bush adminstration's Department of Energy apparently removed the above-mentioned page from its server. I say apparently because, although it was there for many years, I can no longer find it on their server.

Instead, a search of the current U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Fusion Energy website using the term "cold fusion" — which used to lead to the above-mentioned page — now leads to the findings of the DOE's special December 2004 Expert Review Panel which took a more balanced approach and called for additional research funding.

The U.S. DOE webpages are archived by the Wayback Machine.
